JASPER — No wrecker was needed when a sports utility vehicle collided with a deer Sunday night just south of Jasper.
Angela R. Quiroz, 48, Huntingburg, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer when the 9:17 p.m. accident occurred north of WITZ Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy estimated damage between $2,500 and $5,000 when the Quiroz SUV struck a deer that came onto the highway from the west.
