SUV damaged in Schnellville-area accident

SCHNELLVILLE — A wrecker was needed after a Celestine woman’s SUV sustained disabling damage in a Tuesday collision with a deer west of Schnellville.
Samantha L. Knies, 28, Celestine, was westbound on Schnellville Road in a 2014 GMC Terrain when the 5:58 a.m. accident occurred east of County Road 400E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy reported Knies’ SUV sustained about $4,000 in damage when it collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the south.
A Uebelhor & Sons wrecker assisted.
