JASPER — A Crawford County man’s SUV was damaged Wednesday evening in a collision with a deer east of Jasper.
Timothy W. Lemmer, 41, Taswell, was eastbound on State Road 164 in a 2006 Jeep Liberty when the 7 p.m. accident occurred 500 feet east of Greener Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said the Lemmer Liberty collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the north.
Damage to the passenger-side front of the Liberty was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
Lemmer was able to drive the vehicle from the scene.
