HAYSVILLE — A Marion County woman escaped injury when she lost control of the SUV she was driving Monday afternoon east of Haysville.
Donna S. Childress, 55, Indianapolis, was eastbound on State Road 56 in a 2003 Kia Sorento when the 1:55 p.m. accident occurred east of County Road 175E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Childress lost control of the vehicle exiting a curve, over-corrected and went left of center, according to the sheriff’s office. The vehicle exited the north side of the highway, struck a ditch embankment and stopped in the westbound lane facing south.
Damage was estimated at more than $5,000.
A Sternberg Automotive Group wrecker towed the SUV because of disabling damage.
