SUV collides with St. Henry-area deer

ST. HENRY — A Huntingburg woman was able to drive away from a recent deer-versus-SUV collision northwest of St. Henry.

Tiffany L. Schwoeppe, 24, Huntingburg, was westbound on County Road 1000S in a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox when the 7:51 a.m. accident occurred Wednesday, Dec. 4, west of County Road 200W, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy said the passenger-side headlight area of the Schwoeppe SUV was damage when it collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the north.

Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
