ST. ANTHONY — No wrecker was needed when a Ferdinand man’s SUV collided with a deer Thursday evening southeast of St. Anthony.
Chad M. Lane, 45, Ferdinand, was northbound on County Road 600E in a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan when the 6:10 p.m. accident occurred 500 feet south of County Road 650S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Lane’s SUV collided with a deer that came onto the county road from the west.
Damage was estimated at possibly less than $1,000.
