JASPER — A Celestine motorist avoided injury when her SUV collided with a deer Sunday morning east of Jasper.
Debra J. Buechlein, 63, Celestine, was eastbound on State Road 164 in a 2008 GMC Envoy when the 10:28 a.m. accident occurred at Greener Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Buechlein’s SUV collided with a deer that came onto the highway from the north.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
