SUV collides with deer at Holland

HOLLAND — Damage was estimated to have exceeded $10,000 when an SUV collided with a deer late Friday night at Holland.

Warner E. Cortez Osorio, 28, Cordova, Tennessee, was southbound on State Road 161 in a 2019 Hyundai Tucson when the 11:35 p.m. accident occurred 200 feet north of East Mary Street, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy said the Hyundai, owned by Enterprise Rental Car, collided with a deer that came onto the highway from the east.

The deer was killed by the collision.
