IRELAND — No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle mishap Saturday morning west of Ireland.
Narissa A. Montes, 24, Huntingburg, was eastbound on Old Petersburg Road in a 2003 Lexus RX300 when the 10:15 a.m. accident occurred 600 feet north of State Road 56, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
Montes’ Lexus, which was going to fast to make a sharp curve, left the roadway and stopped in a ditch off the north side of the road after slightly striking a utility pole at the site.
There was no damage to the pole and damage to the Lexus was estimated at between $1,000 and $2,500.
