HUNTINGBURG — A Jasper woman was accused of driving while suspended and impaired driving after a Friday night traffic stop in Huntingburg.
An Indiana State Police trooper who believed Brandi G. Leinenbach, 44, 802 Hasenour Ave., Jasper, had a suspended license reported seeing her driving a 2001 GMC at 9:22 p.m. at Sixth and Main streets in Huntingburg.
After confirming Leinenbach’s driving status, the trooper conducted a traffic stop along U.S. 231 north of Phoenix Drive and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle’s passenger compartment.
Authorities said a blood draw at Memorial Hospital found alcohol in Leinenbach’s system and returned presumptive positive results for methamphetamine and amphetamine.
Leinenbach was booked into the Dubois County Security Center on preliminary charges that included Level 6 felony operating while impaired (prior) and misdemeanor driving while suspended (prior). Leinenbach posted bond Sunday.
