The Sunset Extension Homemakers Club met at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper. Hostess Judy Hubster gave out snacks, drinks and potholders she had made to the members.
President Sylvia Adams opened the meeting with the creed and mission statement. Members sang “Four-Leaf Clover” as the song of the month.
Six members answered roll call with whether they had a favorite hobby or how they spend their spare time. Denise Smith gave the treasurer’s report, and Janet Epple gave the secretary’s report.
Mrs. Hubster shower a picture painted on leather that she had obtained in Madison as the item of interest.
Ann Buechler gave the health and safety lesson, “Covid, What Works and What Doesn’t.” Dee Blessinger gave the lesson, “Color Me Stress Free.” There was no community service report. Dues were collected.
Officers for the coming year will be Priscilla Starkey, president; Denise Smith, vice president; Judy Hubster, secretary; Dee Blessinger, treasurer; and Janet Epple, health and safety.
Sylvia Adams received a birthday gift from Denise Smith.
Ann Buechler won the game prize. The door prize went to Janet Epple and the attendance prize to Denise Smith.
Janet Epple will be hostess for the April meeting.
Mrs. Adams thanked Mrs. Hubster for being hostess. The reflection and mission statement were read.
