Sunset Extension Homemakers Club
December 21, 2020The Sunset Extension Homemakers Club met at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper. Secret sister names were drawn for the next year.
Ann Buechler brought pizzas. Judy Hubster received a cake for her retirement.
President Sylvia Adams led the Pledge to the Flag, club creed and mission statement. “Silent Night” was sung. Six members answered roll call with their best Christmas surprise. The secretary’s report was read by Janet Epple. Denise Smith gave the treasurer’s report. Mrs. Epple brought pictures of an extension homemakers event where members dressed in costumes as the item of interest. For citizenship, she showed an article on vaccine shots for Covid. Mrs. Buechler’s health and safety report was “Safety Tips for Christmas Decorating.”
Contact forms for the church were filled out. Donations for First Books were taken for community service.
Mrs. Adams gave a session, “Ten Top Financial Schemes Targeting Seniors.”
The next meeting will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at the church. Priscilla Starkey will be hostess.
Mrs. Adams thanked Mrs. Epple for being hostess and Mrs. Buechler for picking up the pizza. The parting shot, reflection and vision statement were read. Denise Smith won the game prize. Several members gave gift bags for everyone.
