HUNTINGBURG — Police accused a man who pulled to the side of the road with impaired driving early today.
The Huntingburg Police Department reports Cory N. Lemond, 27, 804 S. Cherry St., Huntingburg, had pulled a 2015 Toyota passenger car to the side of the road at 14th and Main streets at 2:56 a.m. with the vehicle off the northbound lane facing south.
Police said Lemond’s blood alcohol content tested .116% in a certified test conducted at the Huntingburg Police Station.
Authorities booked Lemond into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:34 a.m. on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of operating while intoxicated. The impaired driving charge was elevated to a felony because of a prior conviction for the offense within the last five years, according to authorities.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
