Father Stephen Lintzenich witnessed the marriage vows of Stephanie Schneider and Jonas Cueche, both of Evansville, in a double ring and coin ritual exchange ceremony Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.
The ceremony took place at 1:30 p.m. CST in St. Mary Catholic Church, Evansville. Bows of green and ivory satin made by the bridegroom’s mother decorated the pews.
Randy and Gwen Schneider, Kyana, and Santos and Zulema Cueche, Barcelona, Venezuela, are parents of the couple.
The bride’s sister, Darlene Boyd, sang “In This Very Room,” “Ave Maria,” “Glory and Praise,” “Taste and See,” “Prayer of St. Francis” and “Here I Am, Lord.” Maria Moris was organist.
The offertory gifts were presented by Mary Ann Eckstein and Ilen de Jurado. Lectors were Kelly Schroering, Zulema de Creche, Kristi Fleck and Jorge Tauil.
Mr. Schneider gave his daughter in marriage. The bride chose a friend, Kelly Schroering, St. Anthony, as maid of honor. Kristi Fleck, Huntingburg, friend of the bride, was bridesmaid.
Best man was Josh Federico of Ontario, Canada, a friend of the bridegroom. Jorge Tauil, Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, friend of the bridegroom, was groomsman. Ushers were Jeremy Schneider, Kyana, and Charles Schneider, Washington, D.C., brothers of the bride. Ring bearer was Wyatt Schneider, Kyana, nephew and godchild of the bride.
The bride wore a floor-length, mermaid-style gown of ivory organza with illusion cap sleeves, an off-center bow at the waist and detailed beading on the bodice and skirt. The bride wore a birdcage of ivory beading and feathers accented by jeweled dragonflies and carried a bouquet of ivory, white and green roses with ivory satin ribbon and a brooch belonging to her great-grandmother.
The bridesmaids were attired in black, floor-length, mermaid-style gowns with thick shoulder straps. They carried bouquets of white, ivory and green roses with black satin ribbon.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Schneider chose a knee-length, black gown with sequins. The bridegroom’s mother wore a floor-length, rose gown with a jacket.
A reception was held at the Victory Theatre in Evansville.
The couple is at home in Evansville after a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.
The bride is a medical social worker at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Mr. Cueche is a sales representative for Western & Southern Financial Group.
