Commission Deputy Director Miah Michaelsen will hold a Creative Indiana Art Café at the train depot from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. “This will be a chance for community members and artists to talk to a commission staff member,” said Bridget Eckert, the arts commission’s marketing and communications director.
Earlier in the day, Michaelsen will visit art venues in Jasper: the Astra Theatre and Romy & Clare.
The Indiana Arts Commission is meeting in Evansville Friday for its quarterly meeting. While in the area, some members will visit nearby communities “to get a nice flavor of the region and to see what’s going on,” Eckert said.
