JASPER — A Spencer County woman was booked into the Dubois County Security Center early Friday on a warrant charging her with forgery and theft.
Shelby L. Hurst, 19, 12845 E. Brewery St., St. Meinrad, while employed by a home health business, is alleged to have submitted a fraudulent timesheet in February 2019, according to case documents.
An investigator with the Indiana Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit launched an investigation in March 2019, and on Dec. 4, a warrant was issued out of Dubois Circuit Court charging Hurst with a Level 6 felony count of forgery and a misdemeanor count of theft.
Hurst was booked into the security center at 12:01 a.m. Friday on the active warrant. She posted bond a short time later.
