St. Mary schedules parish picnic

IRELAND — St. Mary Catholic Church will hold its parish picnic on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Chicken and beef dinners will be served family style in an air-conditioned dining hall beginning at 10:30 a.m. Drive-thru chicken dinners will begin serving at 9:30 a.m. Outdoor fried chicken dinners will be served beginning at 10:30 a.m.

A quilt wheel for handmade quilts will begin spinning at 10:30 a.m. A quilt or $300 will raffled off every round.

Homemade chicken noodle soup will be sold by the gallon or bowl. Bulk soup can be picked up in drive-thru dining.

Hamburgers, ice cream, candy, snow cones, cotton, popcorn and soft drinks will be available for purchase all day.

The grand raffle drawing, with a top prize of $3,000, will be held at 4 p.m.

There will be vintage costume jewelry, games for kids, surprise bags, a country store with homemade items and face painting.
