St. John’s announces unique serviceJune 28, 2018
From Local Sources
St. John’s Lutheran Church, Boone Township, will welcome special guests from Africa to the worship service on Sunday, July 22, beginning at 10 a.m. Pastors John and Monique Mubiru from the Christ Centered Church in Ntinda, Uganda, will be delivering the message.
Terri Clark, founder of Terri Clark Ministries in Pearcy, Arkansas, through whom the two churches made contact in 2004, will bring the Mubirus to southern Indiana to meet local people who have supported the Christ Centered Church through children’s education sponsorships, the purchases of a computer system for a small medical clinic and a passenger van for the church, as well as the digging of a well to provide water to irrigate a farm that produces food for many in the neighborhood.
Terri Clark Ministries also arranged a medical mission trip to Ntinda, Uganda, in October 2017 that involved a number of Dubois County residents who work in the medical field getting a hands-on experience providing medical aid to people who had never seen a doctor before.
The public is invited to join in welcoming the Mubirus and to stay for the lunch which will be served following the 10 a.m. service in the church’s fellowship hall.
Reservations may be made by calling 812-481-0081 by Sunday, July 15.
