Rate increase approved for St. Anthony Water Utilities

ST. ANTHONY — St. Anthony Water Utilities' water rates will increase 34 cents per 1,000 gallons of water used, effective July 15.

The increase in rates is based solely upon the change in the cost of water purchased from the Patoka Lake Regional Water District. Baker-Tilley Municipal Advisors acted on behalf of St. Anthony Water Utilities at the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission hearings, which approved the rates on June 2.

The IURC also approved an increase in tap fees due to increased costs of materials and labor for a total fee of $1,940, effective June 15.

Documentation and approval letters from the IURC are on file at the utility office.

The new water rates will be effective for bills due Aug. 15, 2021. A customer using 2,000 gallons will see the rates increase from $16.94 to $17.62, plus sales tax.
