St. Anthony Street Fest scheduled

ST. ANTHONY — The 28th annual St. Anthony Street Fest will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at the St. Anthony Community Center, 4465 S. Cross St.

For the 22nd year, the festival will kick off with the Show & Shine Car & Motorcycle Show.

The event is a fundraiser for its sponsor, the St. Anthony Volunteer Fire Department. Proceeds will pay for firefighters’ equipment, turnout gear, training and other needs.

The car, truck and motorcycle show kids off at 9 a.m.

Also back by popular demand will be the fourth annual Backyard BBQ competition, with tasting starting at 11 a.m.

A beer garden will open at noon and chicken dinners and hamburgers to on sale at 4 p.m.

The Studebaker band performs on the main stage at 6 p.m. followed by The High Road from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

The fest includes the WBDC corn-hole tour for adults and dodgeball and other games for children.

Grand raffle tickets are on sale for $1 each or six for $5.
