Sprinkler system glitch triggers alarmMay 30, 2019
From Local Sources
JASPER — Units of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department made a short visit Wednesday evening to Robotic Solutions’ location at 12th and Vine streets.
Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang said there was no fire associated with the 7:32 p.m. alarm. Instead, he added, an air compressor failure allowed water to charge the normally dry system, triggering an alarm.
A passerby reported the alarm after hearing the tone and seeing some water venting outside the building.
Five trucks and 26 firefighters were on the scene for 25 minutes.
The Jasper Police Department assisted.
