Spring book sale announced

DALE — The Friends of the Lincoln Heritage Public Library are hosting a spring book sale beginning Thursday, April 25, through Saturday, May 4, during regular library hours. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. CT Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. CT Wednesday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. CT Saturday.

The Friends book sale is a continuation of the celebration of the 2019 National Library Week, themed “Libraries Strong Communities.” April is a time to remind people of all the library has to offer. Whether checking out the library in person or online, people will be contributing to their community. The book sale is one of many activities commemorating the value of libraries to communities and the proceeds will benefit the various library programs throughout the year.

In conjunction with the book sale, the library is featuring Homegrown Author Fair from 5 to 7:30 p.m. CT Thursday, April 25. Local authors will be available to discuss their books and their techniques for writing. They will be available to sign purchased copies of their works. Both the Hometown Author Fair and the Undergrounds Book Store are open to the public.
