DOOLITTLE MILLS — Authorities formally charged a Spencer County man with Level 6 felony theft last week in Perry Circuit Court.
Court documents state the Perry County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a 2000 Chevrolet extended cab pickup truck being stolen from a residence in the Doolittle Mills area June 26. A deputy who stopped the truck the next day driving on October Road near the residence from where it was taken identified Jeriah S. Harmon, 208 W. Boone St., Dale, as being in control of the stolen vehicle.
Harmon, who had stayed at the residence where the truck was taken and who did not have permission to use it, was arrested for theft and booked into the Perry County Jail, according to court documents. He has since posted bond.
