HUNTINGBURG — Police accused a Huntingburg man of impaired driving after an early morning traffic stop today.
A Huntingburg Police Department officer on patrol stopped a pickup truck at U.S. 231 and County Road 900S after clocking the vehicle traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Police said the driver, Cory M. Brown, 35, 317 E. Fourth St., Huntingburg, smelled of alcohol and had a blood alcohol content of .098% after a certified test at the Huntingburg Police Station.
A search of Brown’s truck also resulted in the discovery of a small amount of marijuana, according to police.
Authorities booked Brown into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:58 a.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony operating while intoxicated (prior) and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
