Tate Rogers, 9, of Jasper, left, watches his sister, Carlee, 11, snowboards on sled while playing in their backyard in Jasper on Monday. "It's a lot more fun standing up on it instead of sitting down," Carlee said. The pair enjoyed the day off from school because of a professional development day.

Rylee Hedinger, 17, left, watches as Kristin Roos, 12, Jace Wagner, 9, David Roos, 13, and Carter Wagner, 11, all of Jasper, play in the snow while building a snowman in Jasper on Monday. With school being out for a professional development day, Rylee brought Jace and Carter, who she was watching, outside to play with neighbors Kristin and David. "I used to do this stuff when I was younger, so it's fun to see them doing it now," Rylee said.
