Skimmer found on St. Anthony pumpDecember 30, 2019
From Local Sources
ST. ANTHONY — The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office is alerting the public to the weekend discovery of a card skimmer on a gasoline pump at a St. Anthony station.
Deputies were called Sunday morning to the Circle A Food Mart (Fast Break) at 3969 E. State Road 64.
The investigation determined the business had been hit again by criminals as a credit card skimmer was located on one of the pumps.
The sheriff’s department said anyone who used pay at the pump between Friday and Sunday morning needs to carefully monitor all transactions and report the situation to their bank for the card used at the business.
On Nov. 27, the same business had identical fraudulent activity connected to a pump. It was estimated then that the card skimming device found in November could have been in place 10 days.
The investigation into the skimmer incidents remains ongoing.
