Siren repaired, back in service

From Local Sources

HUNTINGBURG — The City of Huntingburg announced today that an emergency weather warning siren located next to Southridge High School has been repaired and is back in service.

The Dubois County Emergency Management Agency determined the siren was not in service during testing three weeks ago.

The incident at the front end of severe weather season led authorities to encourage the public to verify that their National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather radios have fresh batteries and are ready to notify them of any severe weather coming to the area.
