Singer-songwriter to hold discussionMarch 19, 2019
JASPER — Singer-songwriter Matt Beilis will visit the Jasper Public Library from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. Saturday, March 23. The discussion is free and open to the public.
Beilis will discuss what it means to be a singer-songwriter and a music producer, as well as, how to make a living doing both. The art of songwriting/music production and the creative process behind each New Yorker Matt Beilis, singer/songwriter/pianist, was born with his distinct voice.
He set up a YouTube page and started covering his favorite songs. His YouTube page has gained over 30,000 subscribers and is recognized by celebrities including Bruno Mars, Ashton Kutcher and Ariana Grande to name a few.
Beilis’ wide-ranging appeal as a singer and performer also garnered him support slots for a mixtape of artists including Smokey Robinson, REO Speedwagon, Secondhand Serenade, Javier Colon and even legendary Wu-tang Clan member Inspectah Deck.
The video for his single, Dial-Tone, caught the attention of Ryan Seacrest and his team, who decided to premier the song exclusively on Seacrest’s website RyanSeacrest.com. This led to Matt’s music video for his single, “Perfect For Me.”
