Simpson shakes off recent setbacks to reap reward

From Herald Staff Reports

Ty Simpson placed the close-game bummers behind him.

After the Dubois County Bombers pitcher dropped his last two decisions — both one-run Bomber losses — Simpson rebounded Friday night at League Stadium. The Heritage Hills High School graduate did his part in a 6-1 Bombers victory, hurling a complete game, and Dubois County (9-7) produced plenty of support behind Simpson as the Bombers won for the first time in their last three outings at League Stadium.

The Bombers head to Madisonville today for an 8 p.m. road game before returning to League Stadium on Sunday, when they’ll host Owensboro at 6 p.m.
