ORLEANS — Indiana State Police arrested an Orleans man Thursday afternoon after responding to a report of an individual firing a 12-gauge shotgun from inside his residence.
Justin R. Bush, 31, was still firing the gun when police responding to a 911 call placed at 5:37 p.m. arrived at his Oak Street home, according to authorities. After a brief standoff, police said, Bush was taken into custody.
State police booked Bush into the Orange County Jail on a Class D felony count of criminal recklessness with a firearm.
No one was injured in the incident and no one else was inside the residence when the shots were fired, police said.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Orleans Police Department assisted.
