Shirley A. Lindauer, 84, Ferdinand
September 29, 2020Shirley A. Lindauer, 84, of Ferdinand passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. Shirley was born February 8, 1936 in Jasper to Leo and Catherine (Heichelbech) Giesler. She was united in marriage to Henry Lindauer on April 27, 1954 in Saint Ferdinand Church. Henry passed away on December 1, 2010.

Shirley was a lifetime member of Saint Ferdinand Church, and its St. Anns Sodality. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of St. Ferdinand quilt group. She was a member of Ferdinand Legion Post 124 Auxillary.
Surviving are one daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Kline of Ferdinand, three sons, Kenny (Rita) Lindauer, Dan (Kathy) Lindauer, and Glenn (Julie) Lindauer all of Ferdinand. Nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Robert Burger, Ronnie (Shirley) Giesler, and Bill (Mary Jo) Giesler all of Ferdinand. Two sisters, Martha (Don) Oxley of Huntingburg, and Mary Denning of Saint Meinrad. One brother-in-law, Tom Mendel of Jasper. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leo Giesler Jr., and a sister, Virginia Mendel.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday October 2nd in Saint Ferdinand Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 until service time at the church. Online condolence may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
