Sheriff’s office makes child molesting arrest

JASPER — The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Saturday on multiple preliminary counts of child molesting.

The sheriff’s office began an investigation at 11:30 a.m. after being contacted by Child Protective Services regarding allegations involving John M. Davis, 52, 257 Brucke Strasse, Jasper.

Authorities allege multiple incidents in January 2017 and on April 6 of this year were part of the investigation.

Davis was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 8:53 p.m. Saturday on preliminary charges that included one Level 1 and three Level 3 felony counts of child molesting.
