Sharpshooters announce shotgun winner

The Southern Indiana Sharpshooters, sponsored by the American Legion Post 147 of Jasper, announces that Lacey Braun of Loogootee won the SKB RS300 Target Grade 12-gauge shotgun valued at $1,000.
All proceeds from the raffle will be used to support the Southern Indiana Sharpshooters. The shooting club is 6 years old and has achieved great success in its short history. It comprises of both male and female shooters ranging from 12 to 18 years of age.
The program is very expensive and the raffle is essential in maintaining the current equipment, travel requirements and being able to expand.
The club participates in the Civilian Marksmanship Program Postal, both postal and actual matches, at Camp Perry, Ohio; American Legion National Postal Matches; American Legion Department of Indiana matches; Marine Corp Reserve Officer Training Program postal matches; Orion System Postal Matches; local invitational matches; and in-house matches.
The club’s range is in the basement of the post and meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays from early September through early April.
