Sharon Rose (McKinney) Barrett, 75, formerly of Coe, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.
Sharon was born on November 20, 1944, in Winslow to Cleo and Florence (Robling) McKinney and married Donald W. Barrett on November 24, 1962, in Spurgeon.
Sharon was a member of the Spurgeon General Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed being with her family, especially playing Rummy and Pounce.
Sharon was very proud of her cooking ability, and her family always looked forward to her world-famous meatballs at family reunions.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Donald W. Barrett, who died November 20, 2016; and twin infant great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Kelly R. (Steve) Potter of Winslow, Shelly L. Barrett of Spurgeon, Jackie W. (Ann) Barrett of Winslow and Joni D. (Jamie) Stafford of Winslow; four brothers, David E. McKinney of Winslow, Dale E. McKinney of Winslow, Doyle “Eugene” McKinney of Santa Claus and Rick McKinney of Aledo, Illinois; one sister, Linda Yager of Lynnville; nine grandchildren, Kayla (Todd) Sims of Winslow, Krista (David) Hay of Winslow, Colton Potter of Winslow, Jade Holmes of Sumner, Illinois, Hazel Uppencamp of Spurgeon, Kelsey Barrett of Winslow, Matthew Barrett of Winslow, Naomi Stafford of Winslow and DJ Stafford of Winslow; and three great-grandchildren, Kaydee Sims of Winslow, Julian and Alba Hay of Winslow.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and will be officiated by Rev. Marc Grimes. Interment will take place at Spurgeon Cemetery on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
