Sessions focus on online solicitation, grooming

HUNTINGBURG — Two sessions called “Online Solicitation and Grooming” will be held on Wednesday at the Huntingburg Event Center.

The morning session will run from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; the evening session will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The sessions are free and open to the public.

Dr. Darrel Turner of Turner Forensic Psychology will lead the sessions and discuss the problem of grooming and online solicitation, grooming behaviors among child molesters and the impact on victims. He will also share a study of sting operations that targeted people who solicit minors online for sex.

The sessions are being sponsored by the Southwestern Indiana Child Advocacy Center Coalition, Crisis Connection, Dubois County Court-Appointed Special Advocates and the Dubois County Community Foundation.
