Serving Others

Twelve student volunteers with St. John Bosco Youth Ministry dedicated a portion of their Saturday to work at Dubois County Community Meal. Kylene Danzer, left, and Sean Nord, both 11 and of Jasper, helped serve lunch to the clients. The program is a cooperative of a number of area churches and community groups that have united to fight hunger. The meal is free and available to anyone in need of a nutritious meal, companionship or both.

Kylene Danzer of Jasper, 11, arranged cold pizza before cooking it.

Fourteen-year-old Leah Brosmer, left, and St. John's Bosco Youth Ministry director Angie Greulich, both of Jasper, finished heating pizza before serving lunch.
