INDIANAPOLIS — Police say five separate weekend shootings over a 24-hour period in Indianapolis left at least six people dead.
Indianapolis police earlier said four people died and two others were wounded in three separate shootings Saturday night and early Sunday.
Four of those shot were at a bar early Sunday, including a man and woman who died.
Police say one victim was found about 9:30 p.m. Saturday along a street. Another was pronounced dead on a sidewalk following a shooting at an apartment complex later Saturday.
A 17-year-old was killed about 3 p.m. Sunday and the sixth victim was shot shortly after 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mayor Joe Hogsett referred to the shootings Monday when he promoted the Crime Gun Intelligence Center. He says technology can be used to connect a single suspect to multiple crime scenes.
