Senior living director certified in dementia care

JASPER – Theresa Wolf, executive director of Legacy Living of Jasper, has earned her Positive Approach to Care trainer certification from nationally recognized dementia educator and trainer Teepa Snow. Snow has helped thousands of people by sharing her dementia care philosophy and caregiving techniques.

Wolf has demonstrated the ability to train others in Snow’s Positive Approach to Care philosophy by teaching awareness, knowledge, and skill development in a classroom, community, or support group setting. The experiential and interactive course provides dementia-related awareness and knowledge, an in-depth look into various learning styles and facilitation techniques that engage learners. Certification requirements include six hours of online training, a 16 hour classroom training and post training follow-up.

Legacy Living of Jasper, a senior living campus, is scheduled to open its doors in August 2019. Located at 1850 W. State Road 56 in Jasper, the campus will consist of 70 assisted-living apartments, 25 memory care apartments and 18 independent living town homes.
