Seminar gives credits for farmers, others

Purdue Extension-Dubois County will host the Southwest Indiana Crop Seminar from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds Clover Pavilion near Bretzville.

This year’s theme will be “Growing Hemp in Indiana” with speakers from the Office of Indiana State Chemist and Purdue Extension discussing regulatory, agronomic and marketing considerations related to this new crop for Indiana (members of Midwest Hemp Council also have been invited).

Private Applicator Recertification Program, Commercial and Certified Crop Adviser credits will be provided. Those wishing to receive certification points will need to bring their license number and appropriate fees.
