FERDINAND — Total damage topped $5,000 in a semi-trailer-versus-pickup-truck collision Friday night in Ferdinand.
Daniel T. Stangl, 57, Des Moines, Iowa, was attempting to pull into the Comfort Inn, 123 Scenic Hills Court, in a 2019 Kenworth semi at the time of the 8:15 p.m. mishap, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Police said the rear of Stangl’s semi trailer caught a parked 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 series pickup.
Damage to the semi trailer was estimated at $500 and the pickup truck sustained about $5,000 in damage.
No citations were issued.
