March 25, 2020
Emilee Seitz, a member of the Southern Indiana Sharpshooters sponsored by The American Legion Post 147 of Jasper, was awarded the Top Shooter Award for Indiana during the annual American Legion National Postal Match.
Shooters from across America and Germany compete in the annual match. Each state awards a top shooter. This 3 by 20 match requires each shooter to fire 60 record shots at separate targets from the prone, standing and knelling positions at a distance of 10 meters. Emilee shot 529 and 12 bulls from a possible 600.
Emilee is the daughter of Katrina and Mark Seitz of Velpen. She is a junior and attends the Seitz Home School Academy.
