Phillip Payne, 34, of Santa Fe, N.M., cleaned his sculpture in front of the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center Friday. The sculpture shows children climbing a stack of books pretending to be people such as Amelia Earhart, Robin Hood and an astronaut. "The idea was to remind people of that time when we were kids and how it inspired us to go out and pretend," Payne said. Jasper's Friends of The Arts will have a dedication for the sculpture at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
