Santa Claus coming to JasperOctober 31, 2018
JASPER — The Greater Downtown Jasper Business Association is announcing the arrival of Santa Claus.
Santa will move into his house on the courthouse lawn after 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 — the day after Thanksgiving.
Families are welcome to meet with Santa at the Sixth Street Fire Station from noon to 1 p.m. At that time, Santa and his elves will be joined by members of the Jasper High School band until they reach the Square.
Children are encouraged to dress up like Christmas packages for the parade.
A winner of an elementary school contest will have the honor of opening the door to Santa’s house, and Santa will talk with visitors until 3 p.m.
Children and families also are encouraged to bring canned foods. These items will all be donated to the Community Food Bank.
For more information, call the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 812-482-6866.
