Samantha Erny and Jarrad Beard exchanged wedding vows on Nov. 2, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in Precious Blood Catholic Church, Jasper. Fr. Gary Kaiser officiated the ceremony. Deacon Jerry Gagne and Fr. Tony Ernst were also present for the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Allen and Brenda Erny of Jasper. The groom is the son of Michelle and Robby Beard of Boonville.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the bride’s cousins. The organist was Kyle King and vocalist was Natalie Pugh. The third grade class of Sts. Peter and Paul School sang and were also accompanied by the bride’s fellow teacher, Jason Kruger.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegant, illusion racerback wedding gown. Her sleeveless dress had a high neckline with lace and beading adorning the bodice of the gown. The pattern continued through the hips which flowed into the crepe gown. The illusion lace racerback was the focal point of the back of the gown and was complimented with a grand cathedral length train with lace-edge beading.
The maid of honor was Hannah Vollmer of Erlanger, Kentucky. The matron of honor was Amy Vera of Portage. Both are friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kelsey Gehlhausen of Evansville, Taylor Johnson of Bloomington and Molly Street of Austin, Texas, friends of the bride; Jennifer Schepers of Celestine, cousin of the bride; and Kaylee McClamroch of Louisville, Kentucky, godchild of the bride. Hannah Weyer of Ferdinand, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
The bridesmaids wore burgundy satin A-line gowns with a V-shaped neckline. The dresses featured a cummerbund waistband and pockets.
The mother of the bride wore a navy lace and beaded gown with three-quarter length sleeves. The mother of the groom wore a navy lace gown with three-quarter length sleeves.
The best men were Justin Beard of Boonville, brother of the groom, and Michael Riggilo of Indianapolis, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Tony Perry of Indianapolis, Nick Barnard of Fort Wayne, Jared Jochem of Orlando, Florida, and Christopher Moyer of Chicago, Illinois, friends of the groom; and Alex Erny of Jasper, brother of the bride.
A reception was held at KlubHaus 61 in Jasper. Music was provided by Boogie Tunes of Jasper.
The couple took a wedding trip to Jamaica and is looking for a home in the Evansville area.
The bride is a 2012 graduate of Jasper High School and graduated from Indiana University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She will graduate in May with a Master of Science degree in educational leadership and a certificate in school law. She is a third grade teacher at Sts. Peter and Paul School in Haubstadt.
Mr. Beard is a 2011 graduate of Boonville High School. He also graduated in 2015 from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in entrepreneurship and finance. He is a region operations manager for Red Wing Shoe Company.
