Ruth Evelyn Hughes, 81, French Lick
July 2, 2020Ruth Evelyn Hughes, 81, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 26, 2020, at her residence.

She was born on November 24, 1938, in Oldenburg to George Pistner and Bernice (Rohls) Pistner.
Ruth married Ronald Hughes on September 1, 2000, and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2008.
She was also preceded in death by her Parents.
Ruth was a 1957 graduate of French Lick High School and received her degree in nursing from St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville. She had been employed and retired from Community Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, Psi Iota Sorority, Indiana State Nursing Association, and Business and Professional Women.
Ruth is survived by two sisters, Donna Davidson, Paoli, and Georgia Oliveria, Cincinnati, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Rhonda Holcomb, Williamette, Illinois; and two stepgrandchildren.
A Graveside Ceremony will be conducted by Father Peter Gallagher at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Service, French Lick.
