Ruth E. Woolsey, 98, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 8, 2018, at Springs Valley Meadows.
She was born in Northwest Township in Orange County on Dec. 21, 1919, to John T. and Virginia M. (Scarlett) Knight. Ruth married James Todd Woolsey on May 21, 1938, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Francis, Clarence, Amel, Sherman and Henry Knight; and three sisters, Avis and Lela Knight and Audra Deel.
Ruth is survived by two sons, James R. Woolsey (Judith) and Ronald G. Woolsey (Virginia), both of French Lick; one brother, Randell Knight (Rosie), Mitchell; four grandchildren, Kathy D., Larry R., David R. and Michael T. Woolsey; and two great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Mike Newland on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick. Burial will follow in Patoka Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.
