Roy A Lubbehusen, 93, Sarasota, Fla.May 7, 2021
Roy A Lubbehusen, 93, of Sarasota FL, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Roy was born in Ferdinand, IN on June 24, 1927, to Albert and Mary (Krampe) Lubbehusen.
Roy served in the US Army as a sergeant in the motor pool. His responsibility was keeping tanks, jeeps, and halftracks in full operation for the Korean War from 1950 thru 1952.
Roy and Hilda Eisenhut met a few years later and married on September 5, 1958. They moved from Indiana to Sarasota Florida later that year. Roy went back to his passion for cars and was employed by Chrysler-Plymouth dealerships for over 50 years. Roy and Hilda had one son after living in Florida a few years named Rick. Rick Lubbehusen and his wife Nancy Lubbehusen had two sons Michael and Blake. Rick, Nancy, and Blake reside in Winston Salem, NC, and Michael in Atlanta.
Roy was preceded in death by one sister; Alberta Schum, and two brothers; Jerome Lubbehusen, and Cletus Lubbehusen.
Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on a later date.
