Rose Irene Seals, 91, Loogootee, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at The Timbers of Jasper.
She was born in Metcalf, Ky., April 11, 1922, to Henry and Sally (Syra) Dean. She married Wilson Seals on July 29, 1939. He died in 2005.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy Yarnell and husband Loran of Shoals and Darlene Christmas and husband Mark and Sandy Issacs and husband Jim of Loogootee; six sons, Don Seals and wife Wilma, Gordon Seals and wife Marie, Larry Seals and Dennis Seals and wife Cathy of Loogootee and Chuck and Rob Seals of Jasper; a brother, Curtis Dean and wife Helen of Washington; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Seals; a brother, Henry “Bud” Dean; four sisters, Rhode Mitchell, Myrtle Batman, May Cawthron and Matt Cawthron; two stepbrothers, Walter and Jack Rutledge; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Seals was a member of Alfordsville Christian Church and had worked at Perfect Fit in Loogootee.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will be in Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
