Rose Anne Werner, 80, Ferdinand
April 2, 2021Rose Anne Werner, 80, of Ferdinand passed away Thursday April 1, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Rose was born on October 18, 1940 in Celestine, Indiana to Herman and Mary (Pund) Sander. She was united in marriage to Delmar Werner on April 23, 1960 in Saint Ferdinand Church. Delmar preceded her in death on December 23, 2020.

Rose retired from Best Home Furnishings in Ferdinand after 15 years, and she also babysat in her home. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, Saint Ferdinand Church, Ferdinand Legion Post 124 Auxillary, and the quilting club. Rose enjoyed quilting, puzzles, cooking, baking, playing sheephead, and reading. She loved being with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph (Karen) Werner and Chris (Kim) Werner both of Ferdinand. Five daughters, Mary (Mel Lake) Lampert of Bretzville, Donna (Delmar) Rasche of Jasper, Debra (Lester) Sickert of Ireland, Connie Werner and Karen Libbert both of Ferdinand. Thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One sister, Irma (Junie) Vonderheide of Jasper and one brother, Albert (Mary Lou) Sander of Huntingburg. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steve Libbert, one sister, Doretha Schwoeppe and a brother, Benny Sander.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday April 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Saint Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
