June 11, 2020Robert L. Lemond Jr., 29, of Velpen, passed away at 6:02 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born March 28, 1991, to Robert Lee and Shirley (Uppencamp) Lemond, Sr.
Robert was a loving father to his son, Austin.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Robert is survived by his son, Austin Lee Lemond of Oakland City; his mother, Shirley Lemond of Velpen; five brothers, Anthony Lemond of Velpen, Adam Lemond of Fort Branch, Cory (fiancé: Sandy Dotterweich) Lemond of Winslow, John (Linda Miller) Lemond of Birdseye and Billy Lemond of Jasper; one sister, Kathy (Kenny) Myers of Otwell; one half-brother, Jeff (Carrie) Lemond of Velpen; his aunt and uncle, Martha and Paul Montgomery of Huntingburg; one niece, Jazlyn Lemond; and four nephews, Aiden, Noah, Terrance and Izaiah Lemond.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
